Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today commissioned two major housing projects in Surulere—the LBIC/Megamound Greater Lagos Apartments at Obele-Oniwala and the LBIC/Crown Exquisite Homes at Olaleye New-Town, Iponri—reaffirming his administration’s commitment to tackling the housing deficit in the state.*

The newly commissioned projects, executed through public-private partnerships, add a total of 442 housing units to the state’s housing stock. The Greater Lagos Apartments feature 378 units comprising one, two, and three-bedroom flats, while the Crown Exquisite Homes offer 64 units of four-bedroom maisonettes.

Sanwo-Olu, who described the developments as “a symbol of collaboration and focus,” said the projects were designed to meet the diverse housing needs of Lagos residents.
“These developments speak to what’s possible when we stay focused and work together,” he said. “We have delivered not just homes but also a sense of stability and dignity to hundreds of families.”
He credited the success of the projects to strong partnerships with the private sector—Megamound Investment Limited and Crown Exquisite Homes & Property Limited—praising both firms for their professionalism and dedication.
The governor assured residents that more housing projects were underway through the Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC), all aimed at providing affordable, functional, and durable homes.
“We’re not stopping here,” he said. “We remain committed to closing the housing gap in Lagos, one step at a time. Let’s keep building together for a Greater Lagos.”
The housing initiative is part of the state government’s broader effort to improve urban infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for Lagosians.
