The 2025 Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) is set to go beyond the usual talk-shop, positioning itself as a strategic marketplace where innovation meets real investment opportunities.
Organised by the Nigeria Diaspora Summit Initiative (NDSI), the summit aims to bring together diaspora investors, local entrepreneurs, and key government actors to drive economic revival through targeted collaborations.
Speaking ahead of the event, the NDIS Coordinator, Dr. Badewa Adejugbe-Williams, explained that the initiative is particularly focused on empowering everyday Nigerians who are often overlooked by formal financial institutions. According to her, many potential entrepreneurs need only modest capital—sometimes as little as $5,000 or ₦100,000—to bring their ideas to life, but lack access to loans.
“This is where socially conscious Nigerians in the diaspora can make a difference,” she noted.
This year’s edition will feature eight pitching sessions covering critical sectors such as healthcare, education, agribusiness, the creative and entertainment industry, telecoms/ICT/fintech, manufacturing, oil and gas, and infrastructure/real estate.
Under the leadership of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has continued to champion diaspora engagement as a tool for national development.
